Become an Employment Test Validation Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll you will design and execute test validation projects to be used in pre-employment and training. You will independently lead projects that involve job analyses, test item construction, content validation and ongoing statistical analysis. This role will also collaborate with peer test validation consultants on large scale projects related to analytics, best practices research, and rater training.

Responsibilities
- Supports project leads and implements formal project management processes and tools to facilitate planning, tracking, status, and metrics reporting
- Executes the major work activities in all phases of the validation process, including job analyses, pilot testing and report writing to substantiate reliability, validity, and fairness of pre-employment testing and assessments
- Leads cross functional teams of subject matter experts to revise pre-employment selection content to align with job data, procedures, and best practices
- Liaises with stakeholder groups to interpret data to support the resolution of selection/assessment-related issues or problems
- Monitors the quality and job relevance of assessments by conducting a variety of statistical and qualitative analyses
- Collaborates with various stakeholder groups to diagnose workforce issues involving selection/assessment-based recommendations
- Supports the management of external vendors, including the quality control of vendor deliverables and technical reports
- Ensures test validation studies comply with professional guidelines and federal regulations
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience developing and validating selection tests and assessments in an organizational settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
- Experience consulting on the design of a variety of assessment tools, such as knowledge test, work samples, physical abilities tests, and situational judgement tests.
- Experience managing test validation projects that span multiple departments/job classifications.
- Experience integrating multiple data sets, such as employee information and testing data, to conduct various analyses and develop reports.
- Experience using a variety of analytical programs (i.e. SPSS, Excel, Power BI) to conduct analyses, develop reports and deliver recommendations.
- Experience conducting criterion related validation studies.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
