    This pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position. The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Become a NextGen ERP Business Transformation & Readiness, Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll help oversee NextGen Work Management efforts! You will act as the contributor on implementation teams and the single point of contact for NextGen design workshops. Additionally, you will participate in developing tools, data readiness efforts, and processes necessary to implement Initiation, Plan, Schedule, Execution, and Close (IPSEC) principles in Work Management for Transmission, Distribution, Substation, and/or Generation. This position is expected to be a subject matter expert in all aspects related to the Initiation and Planning processes within the IPSEC model for T&D.

 

NextGen ERP is a large, complex multi-year program designed to transform the way the electric utility operates.  This critical strategic program leverages advanced technology innovations, such as machine learning and business process intelligence capabilities to enable an enterprise-wide future-focused business transformation.  This transformation builds the foundation which will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.

 

  • Work with team to lead functional and technical landscape solution design for one or more complex business process domains such as Work Management Operations in Distribution, Transmission, etc.
  • Work with senior advisors and managers to conduct thorough evaluations of existing business processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective process improvement strategies, including process redesign, automation, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure process improvements align with business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to ensure employees are knowledgeable about process improvements and can effectively utilize new tools and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to provide support for key decisions and to secure buy-in for fit-to-standard and custom solutions developed to meet business needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of business operations software and systems ensuring that business requirements are met for assigned business process area.
  • Lead implementation workshops and other forums to gather, synthesize, and validate information, ensuring a robust understanding of existing business processes and requirements.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations during the implementation phase to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in current procedures.
  • Challenge the status quo, drive transformational change, and recommend practical solutions that align with implementation goals.
  • Analyze and synthesize data and process flows, incorporating best practices to support the implementation strategy. Make informed recommendations or decisions based on this analysis, and present key findings to stakeholders.
  • Design and document future state business processes and requirements that align with the new system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical team experts to enhance processes, including performing comprehensive user integration testing. Provide functional guidance and supervision to analysts.
  • Build relationships and interact with peers, managers, system integration (SI) partners, directors, and all levels of leadership to achieve implementation objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and support other work activities that align with project milestones.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of business operations and/or transformation experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with Transmission, Distribution, Substation, and/or Generation Work Management functions in relation to the IPSEC model.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects, particularly those involving cross-functional teams, and working on Agile projects. This includes assisting in end-user validation and testing activities.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficient analytical skills to interpret data and produce actionable insights.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and Power Bi.
  • Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in participating in workshops to design process improvements and implementing the results.
  • Change Management Expertise: Ability to lead and manage change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes or systems.
  • Experience with system implementations and migration from legacy systems.

 

 

Additional Information

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
