    This pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position. The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Become a Business Transformation & Readiness, Senior Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be responsible for the effective and timely management and execution of the business readiness strategy.  This includes development and execution of the business readiness strategy, management of the business readiness network and change agent empire, and ensuring the operational and business stakeholders are prepared to successfully adopt the new technologies and process changes.  

 

The NextGen ERP program will span the next 5 years leveraging emerging digital solutions in concert with re-imagining and transforming our current processes and organization to make dramatic improvements to operational performance, as many companies are doing across industries. We are looking at an approach that not only upgrades the systems but also transforms our business processes to enhance efficiency, improve data quality, and provide better integrated decision making across the enterprise. We are currently in the implementation phase of a major ERP transformation program, leveraging a hybrid agile approach to motivate change. This effort goes beyond a system upgrade—it’s a fundamental redesign of our core financial processes. Our goal is to streamline operations, enhance data accuracy, and enable integrated, enterprise-wide decision-making. The Finance Integration track plays a critical role in delivering these outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure the seamless implementation and integration of Asset Management principles and business planning processes.
  • Ensures that the organization is ready to adopt and implement new business initiatives, technologies, or processes as a part of all transformation efforts.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress against targets, identifying areas of improvement and making necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure organizational alignment of initiatives and foster environments to assist in the cooperation and collaboration of teams and departments.
  • Engage and influence senior management stakeholders to gain support and alignment for the transformation efforts.
  • Serve as the lead on implmentation teams and the single point of contact for assigned technology workshops.
  • Oversee the development of tools, data readiness efforts, and processes needed to ensure a successful implementation of Asset Management principles and asset integration business planning.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience managing/supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience with business transformation readiness, organization change readiness, or related business transformation projects.
  • Seven or more years of experience managing business readiness tasks, such as technical and operational user readiness, readiness assessments, and overall organizational preparedness for successful deployment and post-deployment/ hypercare phases.
  • Experience managing activities/projects delivered by the Service Integrator (SI) scope of work, including quality and timely acceptance of deliverables from the SI.
  • Five or more years of experience and proficiency with MS Office 360 applications, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, economics, organizational development, or related field.
  • Project Management Certification and/or experience working with hybrid Waterfall/ Agile approach.
  • Experience conducting and facilitating large scale projects and end to end project management skills.
  • Two or more years of experience and working knowledge with SAP/ ERP applications/ modules, with deep understanding of related business processes and operating models spanning one or more business process domains.
  • Experience with SAP ERP or S/4 HANA ERP full lifecycle implementation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, along with negotiation and influence skills.
  • Experience advising and recommending courses of action on process improvements, operational plans, or business strategies, often to Senior Management or Executive audiences.
  • Experience translating complex business needs and requirements into appropriate technology solutions.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or technology solutions.
  • Experience working as a change agent and innovative problem solver, with ability to influence change.

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
