Become a Distribution Interconnection & Added Facilities Project Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll work in the Small Generation Interconnection & Added Facilities (SGI&AF) group within Southern California Edison’s Transmission & Distribution (TDBU). The successful candidate will ensure that all SGI&AF policies and procedures are standardized, updated, documented, and adhered to by internal and external customers. This position will be the point of contact between the Grid Contract Development & Management group (GCDM) and Distribution Engineering for customer interconnection submittals and will also act as the SME for the Planning department on all Added Facilities projects.
Key Focus of Role
- Monitoring maintenance and inspection contractual obligations for all Added Facilities equipment.
- Project Managing scope, schedule, and cost for the Solar Photovoltaic Program (SPVP) and other Small Generation Interconnection Agreements (SGIAs).
- Assisting in designing, managing, and improving processes related to Distribution Added Facilities, SPVP, and SGIAs using tools and report mechanisms currently in place and those to be developed.
- Lead a dynamic team of multi-functional professionals, by serving as the primary liaison for your division, to ensure seamless operations and adherence to established guideline
- Guiding and overseeing Design and Construction functions to ensure facilities are placed In-service.
- Identifying and handling any major AF/ SPVP/ SGIA issues.
- Assisting in developing and facilitating reporting processes for all projects within their respective Division to ensure compliance.
- Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Manage one or more moderatly complex projects effectively using project management principles, tools, and techniques under time constraints, shifting priorities, and making critical decisions with minimal supervision
- Responsible for directing project initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure for core disciplines of project management (scope, schedule, and budget) independently
- Lead simple to moderately complex projects and deliver on team goals by influencing stakeholders within the department and exercising independent decision making, with consultation from leadership as needed
- Collaborates with peer Project Managers, department/division senior leadership, and other stakeholders departments as a key consultant to provide recommendations to drive projects forward
- Manage planning, development, and/or execution of electric transmission/distribution projects, which may include but is not limited to, wildfire, infrastructure replacement, load growth, poles, line upgrades, maintenance, or installations
- Drive milestones and report on medium to large transmission and/or distribution projects which may include designs, schedules, projects applications, compliance and safety documentation, regulatory filings, and local and state agency coordination
- Performs complex power flow and fault analysis studies to determine system impacts and requirements for transmission lines
- Facilitates the progress of development plans, work packages, testing procedures, and energization sequences

Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in project management.
