    This pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position. The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Become a Land and Land Rights – Real Estate, Associate Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job,  play a key role in supporting our Real Properties team, which manages and protects SCE’s extensive portfolio of company-owned land and land rights.  You will prepare and submit rights check requests, update agent files, and support encroachment clearance efforts.  Identify and implement workflow enhancements across Real Properties teams.  You will ensure proper documentation and follow-up with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manages requests for land surveys, transmission approvals, and work orders. 
  • Ensures proper documentation and follow-up with internal teams.
  • Processes non-purchase order payment requests.
  • Identifies and implements workflow enhancements across teams.
  • Manages Secondary Land Use inbox and Certificate of Insurance.
  • Prepares and submits rights check requests, updates agent files, and supports encroachment clearance efforts.
  • Responds to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding land use, easements, and property matters.
  • Conducts site visits, take photographs, order surveys, and utilizes mapping tools like Tract Maps, Parcel Maps, Google Earth, and Land Vision.
  • Serves as backup to other Associate Specialists and collaborates with agents and managers on land-related projects.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Title, Escrow, Property Management or Real Estate.
  • Posses a valid Class C Driver’s License.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using SAP.
  • Experience using real estate and land-based maps and plans, such as Tract and Parcel Maps, Assessors Maps, site development plans, Google Earth and Land Vision.
  • Experience with land transactions, title research, and property management.
  • Experience with easements, rights-of-way, and document processing.
    Experience and knowledge with land use, permitting, and infrastructure support.
  • Experience proficiency with MS Office 360 applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Copilot).
  • Experience completing assignments with various deadlines and making workflow adjustments to meet changing conditions and priorities, with a high level of accuracy, and with minimal supervision involvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience gathering, researching, analyzing information/data and drawing conclusions.

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • Position will require up to 20% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. 
  • Relocation does not apply to this position.
