The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

As a Capital Portfolio Development Project Manager within Portfolio Management, you will help develop the vision for Portfolio Management through the development of key strategies and processes intended to increase the visibility of future work and enable more robust portfolio management Optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides project support services such as cost estimating services, scheduling, claim analysis and reporting the healthiness of the projects that are in development as well as execution stages
  • Ensures compliance to quality control and assurance processes and standards
  • Leads the continuous improvement of the project control delivery processes
  • Provides project oversight, control and value improvement practices
  • Develops and implements a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and tracking tools and ensures subsystem work is progressing through the project life cycle
  • Provides quality help to project and corporate management with organizational and administrative activities, including non-routine cost engineering, planning and scheduling guidance analysis, and presentations
  • Ensures that all cost and schedule related functions on the project are performed in accordance with procedures and good practice
  • Provides technical direction, training, day-to-day supervision and coaching to project assigned Project Controls personnel
  • Recommends and influences process and system improvement opportunities when they arise, including the creation and improvement of processes related to appropriate change control and governance decision-making functions.
  • Monitors the project performance and ensures that the project control system is properly implemented and oversees detailed review and analysis of earned value and other KPIs
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher level of education in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, or other technical discipline
  • Three or more years of experience with Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution systems, Electric System Planning, or Power Generation
  • Five or more years of experience with organizational change management resulting from business process implementation.
  • Two or more years of working in resource capacity analysis/planning or finance
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and demonstrate strong facilitative leadership skills.

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
