    This pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position. The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Join Southern California Edison (SCE) as a Senior Advisor – GIS Asset Management and build a better tomorrow. The Sr. Advisor will play a key role in developing and executing NextGen’s asset management strategy and goals. Develop asset management user stories and participate in Agile development activities like feature prioritization, sprint alignment, and daily standups. Identifies scope gaps, makes recommendations, and decides on product design and product readiness for asset management. Engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to gain support and alignment for NextGen’s efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
  • Analyze the current state of the organization and perform impact assessments around processes, systems, and culture, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of transformation initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress against targets, identifying areas of improvement and making necessary adjustments.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to gain support and alignment for the transformation efforts.
  • Serve as lead on implementation teams and the single point of contact for assigned technology workshops as well as oversee the development of tools, data readiness efforts, and processes needed to ensure a successful implementation of Asset Management principles and asset integration business planning
  • This position is expected to be a subject matter expert.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of business strategy experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience with GIS systems and software such as ESRI, AutoCAD, SAP, and GE Small World.
  • Knowledge of GIS linear Asset Management (LAM).
  • Experience as a business product owner of a GIS system or database.
  • Hands-on experience managing large GIS projects involving multiple stakeholders involving coordination and collaboration between multiple business groups.
  • Familiarity with mobile field tools like Survey 123 and ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
