Become a Senior Advisor in Rate Operations & Customer Analytics at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll lead the development of analyses evaluating SCE’s electricity rate trends and manage the implementation of rates recovering over $17 billion in revenue, annually. Notably, you’ll strengthen the operational foundation of SCE’s Pricing, Design & Research function by coordinating across cost recovery, tariffs, legal, and billing teams; streamlining and integrating complex analytical models and processes; and evaluating internal and external factors to inform actions that address affordability pressures. Responsibilities
- Manages paperwork and legal processes required by regulators to meet deadlines and follow regulations
- Proposes and modifies tariffs to comply with commission decisions and facilitate the achievement of company objectives
- Provides regulatory and tariff interpretations to internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance
- Implements new tariffs and contracts for various customer groups in alignment with commission guidelines
- Facilitates strategic decisions regarding ratemaking regulatory policies, procedures, and implementation to meet company goals
- Provides direction on cost recovery for new processes and methods to achieve desired business outcomes
- Consults on and leads testimony development for the General Rate Cases and other regulatory proceedings
- Case manages regulatory applications and complete written testimony and exhibits with supporting papers., as the sponsoring witness or in support of the sponsoring witness
- Complies with all regulatory guidelines, requirements and deadlines for rate, tariff and contract filings
- Leads/performs analysis and modeling support for the development of new rate designs and cost recovery proposals
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience with statistical, econometric, engineering, or financial modeling.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting energy-related regulations, legislation, or policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the electric utility industry
- Experience developing and managing integrated project plans that define ownership, align interdependent activities, and drive follow-through by proactively communicating key decisions, risks, and timelines in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Experience establishing and implementing standards for Excel-based analytical models that simplify complex model structures, enable process integration, and promote business continuity.
- Proficiency translating complex technical and regulatory analyses into clear, decision-ready deliverables that drive action across both technical and non-technical teams
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
