    This pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position. The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Become a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Operations Compliance Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll assist with regulatory compliance activities and offer subject matter input for PSPS events and associated processes, procedures, reports, initiatives, and critical business records. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with leadership across the enterprise to facilitate the implementation of the Critical Business Records (CBR) Program for PSPS, in conjunction with the PSPS Business Resiliency compliance organization. The Advisor will assess, develop, and document strategies for establishing new compliance programs at SCE and will work with management to execute these programs to ensure that all compliance requirements are met in alignment with SCE, T&D, and PSPS-specific objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Improves the delivery of analytical support to an Operating Unit and/or the enterprise, enhancing the collection, analysis and reporting of data, which enables successful completion of key business operations projects.
  • Provides advice to stakeholders, presenting analytical findings and making recommendations as to their impact on business operations.
  • Identifies and improves operational processes and procedures, from maintenance to development of reporting dashboards, to streamline business practice and improve efficiency.
  • Collects and analyzes data in order to present findings and make recommendations.
  • Develops models to help inform decision-making on emerging technology investments.
  • Improves the development of business plan scenarios to evaluate different priorities and potential options to achieving the operating unit and/or enterprise objectives.
  • Verifies that established processes are aligned with relevant rules, principles, laws, and industry standards with the goal to safeguard assets, minimize errors, and ensure operational activities are performed to mitigate risk.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience performing business operations analysis.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of eduction, training, and experience. 
  • Five or more years of experience in compliance, regultory or quality assurance programs. 
  • Experience with PSPS compliance requirements.
  • Experience with PSPS protocols and tools utilized during execution events.
  • Experience with analyzing complex data and problem-solving.
  • Ability to accurately analyze information, identify trends or inconsistencies, and draw informed conclusions to support sound decision-making and continuous improvements.

 

 

Additional Information 

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
