The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Become an IT SAP Senior Project Manager – Finance at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. This role is part of our NextGen ERP implementation team, and you will be responsible for SAP Finance project planning and delivery for the Implementation phase of NextGen ERP, SCE’s large IT and business program working in concert with System Integrator, third party partners, internal Technology and business integration teams. Manage project execution across multiple agile Product Oriented Delivery teams, ensuring schedule and milestone achievement with quality deliverables, and business alignment. Perform cross-functional collaboration and participate in day-to-day execution to identify and mitigate risks and issues. Responsibilities

  • Manages activities of one or more large, mid to long-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes
  • Develops business plans, objectives and initiatives for the organization
  • Provides inputs to organizational objectives and policies and ensures delivery of results
  • Engages regularly with senior management as a key consultant on critical business issues
  • Directs complex Agile release train planning, synchronization, and delivery across products and portfolios
  • Oversees data and platform migrations between legacy and next-gen systems with minimal business disruption
  • Facilitates the design and integration of robust continuous improvement/development (CI/CD) pipelines for enterprise-scale test automation and rapid release cycles
  • Leads large-scale Agile teams through full software development lifecycles from inception to deprecation
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in IT project management.
  • Experience managing activities of one or more large, mid to long-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.
  • Experience with IT Program Management or large enterprise projects.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience delivering large-scale SAP transformation programs in SAP S/4HANA Finance preferably RISE in a private cloud environment preferably in a utility or an asset intensive industry
  • Good understanding of end-to-end Finance business processes including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, management accounting, close and consolidations, project systems, fixed asset accounting, billing through cash management, and financial planning & analysis, and extensive reporting/analytics
  • Demonstrated experience managing program plans using a hybrid Agile methodology, vendor deliverables, and project governance across multiple stakeholders
  • Functional knowledge or exposure to two or more Finance related applications viz. Blackline, iCertis, OneSource Global Next, Open Text Vendor Invoice Management, Power Plan, Taulia, Tagetik, UI Planner, Utegration Finance4U Regulatory Accounting & Reporting is desired
  • Skilled at building consensus across matrixed teams and managing relationships with executive sponsors and third-party vendors
  • Excellent organization, and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance/Accounting, or a related field; PMP certification welcome

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
