implement and/or lead the implementation of major transportation projects involving the movement of oversized and overweight machinery and equipment. Position will assess best methods, coordinate with transportation suppliers, develop recommendations, and provide field coordination between clients, carriers and other stakeholders.
This role will support emergent requests, the Incident Management Team (IMT), and PSPS events throughout the SCE 50k square miles of company territory. This role will directly support work crews throughout the SCE service territory on a routine and emergency basis.

Responsibilities
- Supports and leads projects with internal and external stakeholders to implement Transportation and Warehousing Strategies within Supply Chain, including strategic 5-7 years planning and forecasting methodologies supporting electrification, sustainability, and affordability strategy
- Supports and builds strategic relationships and collaboration with internal/external senior and executive leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment with SCE General Rate Case (GRC) Organizational budgets, goals, and objectives
- Support the Introduction and utilization of advanced technologies/methodologies related to reducing overall transportation and handling expense by focusing on key performance metrics, route/load optimization, resource planning, and contractor management
- Collect data and perform in-depth analysis to build and implement a Supply Chain Transportation and Warehouse Strategy based on forecasts, historical demand and spend, and OE Catalyst process improvement expectations
- Works in collaboration with Supply Chain personnel (e.g., Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory, and Procurement) in the implementation of a Supply Chain Strategy that minimizes spend ($34M annual spend in labor and contractors) while working to support optimization efficiencies
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in supply chain analysis and solutions including material availability and logistics
- Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in transportation specifically with coordination of transporting oversized and overweight machinery or construction equipment (i.e., over 65,000 pounds)
- Utility industry experience
- Demonstrated experience with the project management and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, managing suppliers, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics or related field, or a combination of training and/or experience
- Basic/ working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean practices
- Experience managing, and implementing safety programs, processes, and safety culture change to ensure compliance with local and state regulations such as Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Federal Highway and California Commercial vehicles regulations.
- Experience with Ariba
- Intermediate level of experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience with procurement, negotiating supply chain contracts, and establishing vendor relationships with heavy haul truck drivers, freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and/or barge, crane, and rigging providers
- Demonstrated experience interfacing effectively and collaborating with internal and external employees and all levels of management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in
- Ability to follow Edison Safety protocols and principals and also be personally engaged as a safety leader
- Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learnin

- This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
