Responsibilities
- Ensures adherence to safety protocols and compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations
- Plans, schedules, and executes routine, preventative, and overhaul maintenance activities; manages outage work and return to service
- Promotes effective use of asset management tools and systems and provides training to optimize utilization and data capture
- Partners with reliability engineering, market operations, and other groups to analyze performance data and drive asset optimization
- Leads reliability centered maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to address performance gaps and optimize asset utilization
- Acts as incident commander and leads emergency response as needed and participates on incident management teams
- Monitors asset health parameters, production metrics, and market conditions; adjusts operations to meet production and financial targets
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four or more years of combined experience performing/supervising in a power generation operations environment.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience in power generation or a similar heavy industrial environment.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or hands-on Technical/vocational training in mechanical maintenance with strong knowledge of mechanical systems (turbines, pumps, valves, auxiliary equipment).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or contract management certification.
- Experience managing contracted workforces and supervising represented employees under a collective bargaining agreement, with the ability to prioritize and plan work across a large geographic footprint.
- Proficiency with procurement processes (managing POs, initiating RFPs) and using CMMS tools like SAP or Maximo.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a high-pressure, dynamic environment, especially during outages.

- This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position – Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
