    This pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position. The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
  • Oversees the preparation and validation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Develops and implements requirements for cost recording, reporting, and` analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
  • Leads the change management process to ensure accurate cost projection for each project.
  • Manages the team to deliver cost engineering and change control services, including selecting, training and managing staff.
  • Organizes, monitors and controls project costs and define project needs for cost control in accordance with contractual requirements, objectives, and company procedures.
  • Oversees all major construction project planning and risk assessment, providing cost related insights. Oversees and monitors subcontractor performance against contracts and budgets, addressing any issues promptly.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management. Experience in engineering cost controls, estimating, planning, and risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional or cross‑organizational teams.
  • Experience with program/project delivery, decision‑making facilitation, and executive‑level communication.
  • Ability to analyze and track large capital portfolios, including dashboarding and pipeline reporting.
  • Experience managing Transmission and Substation projects

 

Additional Information

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
