Become a Business Resiliency Team Readiness Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll help support the company’s preparedness and resiliency programs, and ensure that Incident Management Team personnel are fully trained and prepared to fulfill their disaster roles and responsibilities. Your work will directly coordinate across Business Resiliency’s training, exercise, and operations programs to support IMT members in their qualification pathways. You will be responsible for all administration work related to SCE’s robust training and exercise program, including scheduling, tracking, certificates, and training assignments for over 900 personnel. You will help to ensure training and exercise documentation is accurate and cohesive, and you will help to design and develop table top exercises and workshops. You will support critical exercises and training opportunities across all hazards our company faces. During real-world incidents this position may be called upon to support the IMT in the Emergency Operations Center virtually or in person.

Responsibilities
- Executes business resiliency exercises, assessments, communication, and training programs for the business to provide effective management of the business resilience program.
- Supports business resiliency incident management activities within the crisis management processes and monitor lessons learned.
- Provides input into operational metrics for progress and compliance of plans/programs for leadership review so as tracking compliance to the agreed controls through ongoing reviews. Facilitates training and awareness, including training on the management tools used for documentation.
- Liaises and coordinates with various internal teams and support teams to implement initiatives. Assists in the development, administration and maintenance of incident management programs. Develops and coordinates good working relationships with emergency responders.
- Reviews risk assessments, analyzes the effectiveness of information security control activities, and reports on them with actionable recommendations.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in dealing with emergency management, business resiliency, or facility preparedness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on an Incident Management Team, or Emergency Operations Center responder or as part of an Emergency Operations Center cadre.
- Experience making recommendations on exercise objectives and formats.
- Experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with or for an electric utility.
- Experience with WebEOC or other online Emergency Operations Center platform.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
