Become a Remediation Management, Technical Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll blend public-safety impact with fast-paced compliance execution, activities and short-term projects by managing program tasks, tracking deliverables, and analyzing data to ensure Transmission & Distribution notification alignment. It also compiles performance insights for reporting to senior advisors/advisors and partners with regional/district stakeholders, serving as a technical resource for notification compliance and remediation processes. It’s also highly engaging day to day—using data to anticipate and remove blockers, solving resourcing and scheduling challenges, and partnering with stakeholders while ensuring the underlying data is accurate and trusted.

 

KEY FOCUS AREAS

  • Responsible for driving Compliance Notification work through the IPSEC workflow to meet compliance due dates, supporting public safety and reducing risk to the public and the company.
  • Leverages dashboards, trackers, and systems of record to monitor progress and provide accurate reporting on work status.
  • Applies expertise in District/Regional scheduling procedures and notification disposition to ensure alignment with E1 policy and GO95 standards, including clarifying problem statements to determine resource needs.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships while proactively identifying and resolving risks, removing blockers, and maintaining data integrity through ongoing quality and cleanup efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks to ensure the access and security of the company's assets.
  • Analyzes and identifies the root cause of issues and implements comprehensive technical solutions to solve complex application deficiencies and system issues.
  • Performs system testing and documentation to critical systems during significant changes and upgrades.
  • Assists and maintains establishment of work order procedures for the facility that effectively communicate problems and recommend a course of action.
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures to ensure the plant equipment is in good working condition. Investigates, responds to and generates reports on field incidents and creates scope-of-work procedures.
  • Performs in-depth analysis of data to distill complex data analysis when adhering to ad-hoc investigations.
  • Manages the document archival process, storage, and database permissioning, helping drive quality of each completed project according to the company's standards.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience providing technical support.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination in education, training, and experience
  • Effective team building and resource and planning skills.
  • Understanding of E1 policy and GO95 Rule 18
  • Knowledge of Transmission & Distribution (e.g., Apparatus, Civil, Electrical crew, Streetlight) systems: electrical system (primary, secondary, public, etc.); overhead and underground structure and equipment types
  • Demonstrate fundamental lifecycle (IPSEC) knowledge in all compliance notifications. Including but not limited to: Understanding the differences between P1/P2/P3 and required end dates for each (e.g., HFEX, HFIA, non-HFRA)
  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (SAP, Oracle, etc.), or with analytical tools such as SAS or SAS Visual Analytics (VA), BI Dashboard

 

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
