Responsibilities

  • Influences people and culture practices that promote the retention of high potentials and other key talent. Develops, aligns, and executes HR programs and initiatives, driving them to successful completion in support of business unit plans. 
  • Manages and facilitates employee engagement full cycle activities – analysis, report out, action plan recommendations, driving towards meeting corporate timelines.   
  • Consults with internal or external partners to assess, design and implement change management strategies/programs for business unit/HR initiatives; brokers with partners to provide the right resources for initiatives to ensure successful outcomes. 
  • Develops strategies and programs to fit the needs of the organization; consults on change impact of process improvement initiatives. 
  • Monitors progress against metrics and milestones, coaching business unit leadership throughout the change. Translates business unit strategy and creates short and mid-term business unit specific HR initiatives in support of the business strategy for assigned internal clients, utilizing data and metrics for informed decision-making and driving HR strategies with analytics. 
  • Proactively identify, recommend, and influence action on work environment opportunities & trends.
  • Focus on being visible and available to employees and leaders for work related issues in more structured workspaces via listening posts, floor time, regular site visits, and direct engagement with employees to gather contextual feedback, and ensure visibility with an explicit close the loop mechanisms 
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit realignment, workforce planning, and succession sustainability plans, ensuring all HR policies comply with labor laws and regulations. 
  • Collaborate with Labor Relations on bargaining including information and change management 
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or HR generalist role.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience supporting large, complex organizations with the ability to balance big‑picture strategy and hands‑on execution, including leading or contributing to complex, high‑impact projects.
  • Proven ability to make sound, strategic decisions, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and influence outcomes across HR and the business.
  • HRBP experience operating within a Center‑of‑Excellence model and partnering across HR functions to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Strong intuition for business operations, including understanding organizational financial health and connecting people strategies to business outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, translate insights into compelling recommendations, and support organizational change with metrics‑based decision‑making.
  • Deep knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and organizational change practices, with strong critical‑thinking skills and the ability to connect the dots across complex issues.

 

Additional Information

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
