Become a Housekeeper at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge and common areas of the Corporate Real Estate lodging and other Hydro facilities in a clean, orderly condition. You will also be responsible for cooking, serving food as well as setting dining tables.

Responsibilities

  • Performs housekeeping duties: sweeps, mops, polishes floors and vacuums rugs. Cleans and dusts furniture. Disposes of dust and refuse. Washes windows.
  • Will work independently to clean and maintain lodge and office facilities.
  • Arranges for cleaning and other supplies or services, as necessary.
  • Prepares, cooks, and serves meals.
  • Plans menu and determines food requirements. Receives and stocks food supplies.
  • Sets table and cleans dining area after meals. Performs clean-up duties.
  • Maintains kitchen and equipment in sanitary condition.
  • Maintains record of food ordered and meals served. Completes food order form.
  • Maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience performing housekeeping duties.
  • Valid California Driver’s License.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • A combination of formal education, training, experience to gain knowledge, skills, and abilities generally equivalent to those processed by a high school graduate.
  • One or more years of experience preparing meals for large groups.
  • Experience with menu planning and nutrition.
  • Experience working with cleaning supplies, equipment and methods, sanitation and safety rules and procedures.
  • Knowledge of cleaning materials and disinfectants used in performing housekeeping duties.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations within 2 hour radius
  • Experience driving in snow and mountain conditions. 

 

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • The primary work location for this position is Big Creek.  However, the successful candidate will need to work for an extended amount of time at alternate work locations.
  • Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. 
  • This position will work Monday – Thursday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential overtime needed at times.
  • Relocation does not apply to this position.
