    This base pay range is for a pay grade that encompasses this position and a variety of other positions at the company. The pay offered to the successful candidate may vary depending on the position and multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    This pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position. The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Become a Learning & Development Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll play a key role in the strategic direction of the HR Enterprise Learning & Development group (ELD) support of SCE enterprise-wide training initiatives such as Leadership, Employee, System, and technical training programs. As part of the learning and development programs, this position will be responsible for the overall training project management and facilitiation of training programs, new technology systems, training material redesign or maintenance, and associated operational and business processes.  As Learning & Development Senior Advisor, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Responsibilities

  • Executes talent strategies by managing all learning and development activities across an assigned business unit or function or geography for the organization
  • Collaborates with other departments and teams, such as HR and talent management, to align learning programs with overall employee development initiatives
  • Ensures monitoring of all learning and development activity and assessment of internal and external trends
  • Provides advice, interpretation and guidance on processes and policies in the area of learning and development and contributes to regional strategies for learning and development
  • Identifies areas for improvement and suggests solutions to improve learning and development processes and policies
  • Communicates and promote learning opportunities to employees, encouraging participation and engagement in the learning process
  • Participates in development of the annual corporate training plan, budget, and training schedule
  • Monitors emerging trends in the learning and educational technology environment to propose new tools, processes and vendors to continuously improve capabilities
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in curriculum and instructional design as well as implementation and management of training programs, and learning initiatives.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field
  • Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects or programs.
  • Experience consulting with management on training initiatives.
  • Experience developing and deploying training programs.
  • Experience with leadership, employee, technical, safety or regulatory compliance areas.
  • Mastery in facilitating learning solutions
  • Knowledge and application of Kirkpatrick model
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and its application in instructional design & facilitation
  • Experience training leaders 

 

Additional Information 

 

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
