Become a Land Management, Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll serve as a subject matter expert for real estate related transactions involving land use conflicts with 3rd parties, coordinating large projects involving SCE and regional public entities, assessing SCE cost liabilities for projects, working with property owners to clear unauthorized uses in SCE’s right-of-ways, and reviewing 3rd party development plans to assess whether the plans are compatible with SCE’s uses. The advisor collaborates with SCE’s Law Department and the successful candidate would mentor junior agents completing more difficult and/or novel projects.
Key Focus Areas:
- Secure permanent and temporary land rights for SCE facilities and project uses.
- Review development plans for consent compatibility and other 3rd party uses of SCE right of ways.
- Process the divestment of SCE land rights supporting internal and external projects.

Responsibilities
- Advises internal customers on existing land management requirements and long-term use constraints,
- Serves as subject matter expert and collaborates with project teams and external parties on land-related projects.
- Leads the resolution of complex land use conflicts, unauthorized encroachments, and operational disputes, consulting with the Law Department as necessary.
- Utilizes advanced expertise to conduct comprehensive rights checks, site visits and detailed property analysis, interprets maps and parcel data, and utilizes GIS tools (e.g., Tract Maps, Parcel Maps, Google Earth, and Land Vision.) to support ongoing land management decisions.
- May provide guidance and training to junior team members on best practices, regulations, and systems specific to land management.
- Identifies, creates and implements improvements to land management operational procedures and workflows.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience performing right of way or real property transactions and real estate acquisitions.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic engineering plans
- Demonstrated responsibility for managing customer‑paid work orders and accounts
- Experience working with large developers, municipalities, and utility consultants
