PRIVACY NOTICE
Southern California Edison (“we,” “our,” or “us”) understands the importance of protecting job applicant information. This SCE Careers Privacy Notice applies to our SCE Careers page (“our Site”), any SCE Careers-related mobile applications we may provide, or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to accept the practices described in this Privacy Notice. By using our Site on your computer or mobile device, you agree that you consent to how we collect, use, share, and protect the information you voluntarily provide to us and the choices you have about how we use and share your information when applying for job openings.
Our interactions with you include interactions from your computer or mobile device through:
- www.edisoncareers.com and the other websites operated by us from which you are accessing this Privacy Notice (the “Websites”);
- our social media pages we control through which you access this Privacy Notice (collectively, our “Social Media Pages”);
- HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you that link to this Privacy Notice (the “Emails”); and
- discussions with you, either in person, over the phone, or through written correspondence (the “Public Interactions”). Collectively, the Websites, our Social Media Pages, the Emails, and Public Interactions are the “Services”.
As needed, this Notice may be amended to reflect changes in our practices and policies. Notice will be given concerning such amendments by posting on the www.edisonareers.com Privacy Notice page. Users with disabilities or who do not have access to this site may request a copy of the Notice from HR Services, in the “Contact Us” section of this Privacy Notice.
Personal Information We Collect
Personal Information is defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as any information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with an individual or household.
We may collect the following categories of Personal Information in connection with our Services:
- Contact Information: A real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol (IP) address, email address, account name.
- Identification Documentation: Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, military identification number, state identification card number, or other similar identifiers.
- Consumer Records: Information that identifies relates to, describes, or can be associated with, a particular individual, including but not limited to: signature; physical characteristics or description; address; account number; telephone number; insurance policy number; education; employment; employment history; financial information; medical information; physiological, behavioral, and biological characteristics; biometric information such as fingerprints or health insurance information.
- Internet or Other Electronic Network: Browsing history, search history, and information regarding a Consumer’s interaction with an Internet website, application, or advertisement.
- Geolocation Data: Geographical (latitudinal and longitudinal) location can be used to identify an electronic device’s physical location, such as a mobile phone or smart meter.
- Audio, Visual, Thermal, or Similar Information: Audio, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information, such as, photographs, images, video call recordings (e.g., customer support calls), and security camera footage (eg., to monitor security of SCE facilities).
- Professional or Employment-Related Information: Current or past job history or performance evaluations. Email correspondence, and all correspondence.
- Inferences Drawn from Other Personal Information: reflects a person’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.
We Collect Personal Information from these Sources
- From users: We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you visit our Site; express interest in career related news; upcoming events and employment opportunities; or participate in career events.
- Web Technology: We use “cookies” and related technology, such as web beacons, JavaScript, pixel tags, locally share objects, and clear GIFs to collect information while you are using our Sites.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
Our Site allows you to view and search for jobs without registering. However, to apply for a job, make your resume available for future job opportunities, or to set up a Job Search Agent, you must establish an online account providing your user name, password, and email address. When applying for a job you must provide at least the following Personal Information for your General Profile: your name, address, contact information, employment, and educational history. You may update your General Profile at any time.
We may use or disclose Personal Information we collect for one or more of the following business purposes:
- To fulfill or meet the reason you provided the information. For example, if you share your name and contact information to ask about our products or services, we will use that personal information to respond to your inquiry.
- To create, maintain, customize, and secure your account with us.
- To provide you with support and to respond to your inquiries, including to investigate and address your concerns and monitor and improve our responses.
- The third parties we contract with to provide business-related services such as needing access to such Personal Information, but only (a) to the extent necessary to render authorized, related services; and (b) provided they have agreed in writing to adhere to certain confidentiality and security obligations consistent with the terms of this Privacy Notice.
- When good faith disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to the request of a governmental agency.
- As ordered by state or federal governmental agencies with jurisdiction over us, when legally entitled to such information.
- As required by law, such as to comply with a warrant, subpoena, or similar legal process.
- To provide, support, personalize (such as: interest-based communications), and develop our Site, and services.
- For testing, research, analysis, and product development, including to develop and improve our Site, and Services.
- To evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all Company assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by the Company about our Website users is among the assets transferred.
The Company will not collect additional categories of Personal Information or use the Personal Information we collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.
Using Your Browser’s Do Not Track Settings
Declining a cookie, or similar technology, may affect your ability to use certain features on our Site. Your browser’s “Do Not Track” settings will not prevent us from collecting aggregated information on:
- The number of users who use our Sites.
- The number of users who access our Sites via a mobile device.
- How users navigate through our Sites.
- What hardware and software settings are on the device accessing our Sites.
- Which Internet Service Providers are being used to access our Sites; and
- What internet browsers are being used to access our Sites.
Information for California Residents Only
This section of the Notice applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”). This section is adopted to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this section.
Rights under California Consumer Privacy Act
The CCPA provides Consumers with certain rights regarding Personal Information. Please note that these rights are subject to certain conditions and exceptions. Please refer to the “Contact Us” section with questions.
Right to Know/Access: Consumers have the right to request that we disclose the Personal Information that we have collected, Sold or Shared about a Consumer, subject to certain exceptions, during the prior 12 months from the date the request is received, including:
- Categories of Personal Information collected
- Specific pieces of Personal Information collected
- Categories of sources from which Personal Information was collected
- Business purposes for collecting Personal Information
- Categories of Personal Information we disclose to a third party
To protect certain sensitive types of Personal Information, such as Social Security numbers, we will inform you if we have collected these data elements during the applicable 12-month period but will not include it in the report.
- Right to Deletion: Consumers have the right to request the deletion of the Personal Information collected about them, subject to certain exemptions. Once we receive and verify you or your authorized agent’s request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your Personal Information from our records unless an exception applies.
- Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sales and Sharing: You have the right to opt-out of the “Sale” and “Sharing” of your Personal Information. The CCPA defines “Sale” as disclosing or making available to a third-party Personal Information in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration, and “Sharing” as disclosing or making available Personal Information to a third party for purposes of cross-contextual behavioral advertising as defined by the CCPA. We do not disclose Personal Information to third parties in exchange for money as prohibited by Public Utilities Code Section 8380(b)(2). However, under the CCPA, we may Sell or Share the following categories of Personal Information: identifiers, profiles and inferences, and internet or other electronic network activity information to third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, and social networks for purposes of marketing and advertising.
- We do not Sell or Share Sensitive Personal Information, nor do we Sell or Share any Personal Information about individuals who we know are under sixteen (16) years old.
- Please note that opting out of disclosures that are considered “Sales” or “Sharing” under the CCPA will not opt you out of other disclosures, such as to our service providers.
- Right to Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Consumers have the right to request to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the rights described in this section.

Exercising your rights
If you are a California resident, you may exercise your right to know, correct, or delete your Personal Information by submitting an online request or calling us at (800) 655-4555. If you are the owner or authorized third party of multiple customer electrical service accounts, you must submit separate verifiable Personal Information requests for each account.

Opt-Out of Interest-Based Advertising.
We may use third party providers to help us provide advertisements to you that are tailored to you based on your interests (“Interest-Based Ads”). Any tracking done by third party ad partners through cookies and other mechanisms are subject to those parties’ own privacy policies. You may manage Google Ad Settings, which allows you to set preferences related to the ads you see on Google across all your browsers and devices where you’re signed in, by clicking on: https://adssettings.google.com/anonymous?hl=en
You may opt out of receiving Interest-Based Ads from companies, including thirdparty ad networks, participating in the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”). For more information regarding how to opt out of Interest-Based Ads provided by DAA members, please visit https://optout.aboutads.info/?c=2&lang=EN. You must opt out on each browser and on each device. Please note that opting out of InterestBased Ads provided by DAA members does not mean that you will not see advertisements at all; you may continue to receive advertisements on other websites and from companies that do not participate in the DAA.

Authorized Agents.
Consumers who would like an Authorized Agent to act on their behalf in exercising their right to know/access, delete, or correct should complete the Agent Authorization & Personal Information Request form and return the original document to the address listed at the top of the form. An Authorized Agent is any individual, including a spouse, who is not the primary account holder. Authorized Agents will be required to provide proof of their authorization, and we may also require the relevant Consumer to directly verify the identity and the authority of the Authorized Agent.
If you have Power of Attorney for a Consumer and would like to submit a request on behalf of a Consumer, please send proof of your Power of Attorney designation along with the completed form found at the above link to CCPA@sce.com.
We may deny a request from Authorized Agents who do not verify their own identity or submit proof that they have been authorized by the Consumer. However, such requirements will not apply where you have provided the Authorized Agent with Power of Attorney under Cal. Prob. Code Sections 4000 to 4465.

Verification Process Used for Consumer Requests
Before fulfilling your request, we must authenticate your identity or the identity of your Authorized Agent. If you are a current or former customer, we will match our system information with the information you provide at the time of the request. If you are a non-customer (third party), we use a third-party authentication service to confirm your information.
Depending on your relationship with our company, you must indicate if you are: a former or current customer or non-customer, your first and last name, address, phone number on file, best contact number (if different), your email address on file, customer account number (if former or current customer), preferred report delivery method, and interval meter data (if former or current customer). For deletion requests, enter the pieces of Personal Information to be deleted in the Comments box. The information provided will be used to confirm your identity in our system.

Children
Our Site was developed for job candidates to be informed of job opportunities, who are 18 years of age or older. We do not solicit any information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or legal guardian who discovers your child provided us with information without your consent, contact us. If you discover we collected any Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, we will immediately remove that information.

Retention of Personal Information
We retain you Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the transactions you have requestee, or for legitimate business purposes, such as complying with our legal obligations, under applicable law, including United States’ federal, state, and local law. As retention periods vary for different types of Personal Information, based on business purpose. Actual retention periods vary due to:
- The time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected the information.
- The duration and status of your relationship or connection with us whether active or inactive.
- Any retention period required for our compliance with legal, regulatory, or government requirements, including the period during which civil claims or regulatory actions may be filed or otherwise commenced and the period needed to resolve ongoing legal proceedings.

Acceptance of Terms in this Notice
We may change the terms in this Notice. Any changes made to the Notice will be posted on our website as soon as reasonably possible. We recommend you periodically review this Notice to find out if any changes have been made since your last visit to our website. Any changes made to the Notice will be effective as of the date at the beginning of this Notice. Your use of our website will indicate your acceptance and consent to the terms in the Notice then in effect.
